Khéma Go is the first of our three designs for the Thalias Hospitality group in Phnom Penh's Flaitron by Meridian tower to be completed. Open in early 2022, this coffee shop is made for on-the-go professionals who need a quick moment to rest and recuperate in the middle of a hectic work day. Tucked in a corner of the building’s ground floor lobby, the space is simple, elegant and bright. We were inspired by Scandinavian design, which takes a minimalist and functional approach, incorporating robust materials such as light oakwood and grey concrete finishes with clean lines to make sure the space stands apart from other coffee shops around the city. Selling ready-packaged gourmet sandwiches, salads and baked treats, Khéma Go is a capsule version of the well-established Khéma restaurants. The space posed a particular design challenge as it needed to reflect the warmth and intimacy of the Khéma brand in an open space.
