Siem Reap House & Commune

Siem Reap House & Commune

Siem Reap, 2025

Open-plan multilevel workspace with meeting areas, breakout zones, and vertical circulation supporting operational flexibility

We partnered with Urban Living Solutions to design a center for inspiration, collaboration, and community in Siem Reap, a co-working and co-living hub within Rose Apple Square. The project brings together Siem Reap House for the workplace component and Commune for the co-living, both guided by the same core principles of collaboration, focus, connection, and contemplation. Across approximately 2,000 square meters, Siem Reap House blends the city's rustic charm with flexible amenities, including meeting rooms, small offices, lecture halls, a 150-person theatre, and relaxed areas for work and socializing. The layout supports different modes of working, from informal discussions and lounge seating to semi-enclosed zones for concentrated tasks and larger spaces for brainstorming and events. Terracotta and earth tones shape a warm, functional environment that supports a range of workstyles and encourages connection among entrepreneurs, creatives, and critical thinkers.

For Commune, our design focuses on communal spaces such as the fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, and shared lounge, all intended as everyday social anchors for residents. Homey, communal, and urban cues are combined to create places where people can cook together, share meals, and spend time in comfortable seating areas before retreating to their private rooms. Together, Siem Reap House & Commune form a compact neighborhood within Rose Apple Square, supporting work, living, and community in a single address.
