Street frontage at R Longevity Café after dark, backlit translucent canopy and planted terrace drawing pedestrian footfall, design tuned for visibility and resilience in a café-rich urban quarter

R Longevity Café is the first indoor garden café in Boeung Keng Kang 1 (BKK1) to offer a healthy menu with keto and clean, sugar‑free choices. Longevity is central to the design, reflecting the business's core philosophy. Operating 24 hours, the café serves early‑morning commuters, late‑night remote workers and the neighbourhood’s evening activity, which makes resilience a core requirement and informs material selection. Durable, sustainable finishes such as clay brick and stainless steel were chosen to age well and reduce maintenance over time.

Service counter with glass block cladding, stainless steel service fittings, and clay tile flooring, robust front-of-house detailing designed for high turnover and simplified maintenance
Night view of canopy and brand signage with integrated soffit lighting, consistent glow used as wayfinding and to support evening operation

A protruding canopy volume creates a daytime landmark and provides clear street presence within BKK1’s walkable, café‑rich streets, helping the café stand out as a distinctive health destination in this cosmopolitan quarter. After dark, a backlit treatment gives the frontage a warm glow that draws footfall from nearby pedestrian routes.

In the interior space, a translucent plant wall forms a luminous backdrop that invites guests to peer through the textured glass. A central planted spine reinforces the longevity and wellness concept, and ambient warm lighting creates a cozy setting that encourages longer stays. Together these material and spatial decisions protect daily performance and prioritise long‑term durability, keeping the café a reliable, professionally managed environment that sustains its brand identity and market value over time.
