Phnom Penh Commons is envisioned as a landmark addition to Phnom Penh’s evolving skyline, designed to extend the vision of its predecessors while introducing a bold new take on urban living. Conceived to nurture a vibrant, intergenerational community within the heart of the city, the proposed complex comprises over 950 residential units and a five-level podium intended for both residents and the public. Each podium level is planned around a specific theme: retail, sports, children, arts and events, and relaxation. Together, they are designed to create a dynamic environment that supports living, working, and playing in one place. Sustainability lies at the core of the concept, reflected in the planned integration of solar panels, water recycling systems, electric charging stations, and building-wide recycling infrastructure. Prioritizing walkability and the 15-minute city principle, Phnom Penh Commons reimagines density as a strategic asset.

Rising in four towers of over 150 meters, the project is set to establish a strong architectural identity through its pixelated façade. This proposed composition of modular balconies will offer shade, privacy, and greenery, while also concealing air-conditioning units for a clean, cohesive look. This secondary skin is intended to give rhythm to the architecture and soften the building’s scale. At key moments, the façade is designed to open, revealing communal sky gardens that will serve as social condensers. Planned spaces such as yoga decks, suspended playgrounds, board game terraces, and meditation areas are intended to foster connection and well-being. Phnom Penh Commons is designed not just as a residential development, but as an urban ecosystem where architecture becomes a framework for sustainable, inclusive living.
