In 2020, we partnered with Meridian International Holdings and Thalias Hospitality Group to bring new dining experiences to Phnom Penh’s community of self-starters, supporting Thalias in expanding with the third Phnom Penh branch of Khéma, its takeaway concept Khéma Go, and the steakhouse and wine bar Siena, all located on the 27th and 28th floors of the Flatiron by Meridian building with expansive glass facades overlooking the city. For Khéma, the challenge was to balance the warmth and comfort of its home-like ambiance with a modern update for the fast-paced business district, so our design replicated the intimate feel of the original restaurants through quality acoustics, ambient lighting, comfortable seating, and earthy tones, while Khmer bricks and dark hardwood floors, signature elements from Khéma La Poste and Khéma Pasteur, are contrasted against sleek glass walls and lively city views.
